Passage of the Day - April 2, 2011

Zechariah 11:6

6"For I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of the land," declares the LORD; "but behold, I will cause the men to fall, each into another's power and into the power of his king; and they will strike the land, and I will not deliver them from their power."

This is interesting.  Oppression and enslavement.  It appears that the oppression and enslavement of the Jews was to begin to their own rich and then to their own government.  After that they would be attacked and become the slaves of another government.  A nation is only as strong as the will of its people.  If a nation's people are oppressed by the powers that be in their nation, how strong is their will and how strong is their nation?
