Passage of the Day - February 4, 2013

Ephesians 4:11-13

11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

Have any of you taken a spiritual gifts questionnaire?  I have a few times and apostleship tends to be the result.  There is a movement to plant 1,000 Anglican churches across North America.  Is it possible that this may be something God has been preparing me for?  God has definitely planted apostleship seed, has He been planting the Anglican seed?  If so, I should not hesitate to begin attending our local Anglican church and begin preparing for what will be needed to plant an Anglican church in our new potential location.  I just need to verify if this new thought is from God or my noodle rationalizing a way to do something foolish.  It’s time to fully explore Anglicanism.  I will need to make some calls and read some books (Book of Common Prayer may be a good start).
